In the Hospital

If the person dies at the hospital or some other health care institution on the territory of the Republic of Croatia, the family of the deceased is to contact the department at which the person had been admitted, that is, at which he or she had been treated.

After talking to the doctor on duty or the head of department, and upon receiving the documents which are part of the protocol of the health care institution, it is necessary to contact the pathology department of the hospital or the hospital morgue for the purpose of arranging the collection of the body. Before going to the hospital, you need to prepare the clothing and shoes in which the deceased is to be buried and to take it with you.
