Funeral expenses

Funeral expenses depend on the type of the necessary and the required products and services. We divide them into the following:

1. Funeral equipment – expenses depend mostly on the selected model of the casket, the model depending on the type of the wood, appearance and colour, as well as of local or religious customs. It also depends on the weight and height of the deceased.

• Standard burial into an earthen grave – soil is shoveled onto the casket.
  Together with the selected casket, the following is also purchased, such as: drapes for decorating the interior of the casket (places in which the deceased is laid) consist of the following: casket lining fabric, mattress, pillow and blanket, the exterior of the bottom of the casket is decorated with the blanket of the desired colour, a special bag with the zip bag for the deceased (mostly in summer or when burial is delayed), decorative sign on the casket lid (usually according to the religious denomination of the deceased, or some other symbol), headstone inscription with the personal data of the deceased (rests in peace, name and surname, year of birth and death) and obituary.


• Standard burial into a tomb – soil is not shoveled onto the casket
  Together with the selected casket, the following is also purchased, such as: brass fixture which is placed inside the wooden decorative casket, drapes for decorating the interior of the wooden casket (places in which the deceased is laid) consist of the following: mattress, pillow and blanket, the exterior of the bottom of the casket is decorated with the blanket of the desired colour, decorative sign on the casket lid (usually according to the religious denomination of the deceased, or some other symbol), headstone inscription with the personal data of the deceased (rests in peace, name and surname, year of birth and death), casket plate (with engraved dana on the deceased, it is attached onto the casket in order to know which deceased is in which casked upon the opening of the tomb) and obituary.


• Cremation
  Together with the selected cremation casket, the following is also purchased, such as: drapes for decorating the interior of the casket (places in which the deceased is laid) consist of the following: decorative fabric lining, mattress, and pillow, a special cremation zip bag for the deceased, decorative urn, memorial urn and obituary.


• Additional expanses
  Our offer includes the following: picture frame with the photograph next to the casket, flowers, candles, filter for the brass fitting, clothes and shoes for the deceased, inscription on the casket, decorative signs, religious symbols etc.


• Airline transport
  Together with the selected or the wooden basic casket for the transport, the following is also purchased, such as: brass fitting inside the wooden casket, brass fitting filter (which does not allow for the creation of pressure inside the wooden fitting, which may cause the breaking of couplings and spreading of odours),drapes for decorating the interior of the casket (places in which the deceased is laid) consist of the following: mattress, pillow and blanket, casket plate (it is attached onto the casket, according to international transportation standards) transport air trays or material for wrapping the casket – it depends on the regulations of the state into which the remains are transported and on the airline company regulations. An additional option: a decorative sign on the casket lid (usually according to the religious denomination of the deceased, or some other symbol).

2. Services – the expenses depend mostly on the services which are necessary for the transport of the deceased from the place of death to the morgue (cemetery or crematorium), and we divide them into the following groups:

• Transport of the deceased in Zagreb
  It is calculated as a lump sum regardless of the mileage. Transport services within the City of Zagreb are accompanied by the following services related to the transport of the casket: arranging of the equipment (that is, of the casket, if the funeral equipment was purchased from us), receiving of the remains and placing them into the casket, transporting the casket to the funeral vehicle and into the morgue.


• Transport of the deceased within Croatia
  It is calculated for each mile, transport there and back on the route towards and outwards the City of Zagreb, together with the transport of the deceased within the area of Zagreb, calculated as a lump sum. Transport services within the republic of Croatia are accompanied by the following services related to the transport of the casket: arranging of the equipment (that is, of the casket, if the funeral equipment was purchased from us), receiving of the remains and placing them into the casket, transporting the casket to the funeral vehicle and into the morgue.


• Transport of the deceased for EU MEMBER STATES
  It is calculated for each mile, transport there and back on the route towards and outwards the City of Zagreb, together with the transport of the deceased within the area of Zagreb, calculated as a lump sum. Transport services within the republic of Croatia are accompanied by the following services related to the transport of the casket: arranging of the equipment (that is, of the casket, if the funeral equipment was purchased from us), receiving of the remains and placing them into the casket, transporting the casket to the funeral vehicle and into the morgue.


• Transport of the deceased for NON-EU MEMBER STATES
  It is calculated for each mile, transport there and back on the route towards and outwards the City of Zagreb, together with the transport of the deceased within the area of Zagreb, calculated as a lump sum. Transport services within the republic of Croatia are accompanied by the following services related to the transport of the casket: arranging of the equipment (that is, of the casket, if the funeral equipment was purchased from us), receiving of the remains and placing them into the casket, transporting the casket to the funeral vehicle and into the morgue.


• Additional services (we recommend)
  Embellishing (bathing, dressing or make-up) of the deceased, embalming, utilisation of the morgue, utilisation of the mortuary cold chamber (refrigerator), utilisation of the transport casket, transferring of the deceased from/into the casket, soldering of the brass fitting, documents for the transport within the Republic of Croatia, documents for the international transport, preparation of the casket for the airline transport, desinfection (if necessary: of space, vehicle or of the morgue), arranging of the burial, burial or final farewell expenses, announcements in the newspapers or on the Internet, music services, delivery (of obituaries, flowers, urns or equipment), inscription design (for the placing onto a headstone or a casket), exclusive services and numerous other services we offer.
